今次同大家簡單地介紹下東平洲!

位於香港東北部大鵬灣的平洲是本港最東面的海島，由於地處東陲，加上便於與坪洲區分，故常稱東平洲。


這裡的地質有異於香港大部分地區，主要為粉砂岩、白雲質粉砂岩、泥岩及燧石等沉積岩層。這組沉積岩名為「平洲組」，地層蘊藏大量保存完好的化石。一層層的岩石如同一本千頁書，記載着地質歷史的奧秘....
